Complete Dentures

A denture, also know as a "plate" is used to replace all the teeth in the upper or lower arch.  Dentures help to restore the natural contours of the face that are lost when you lose teeth and bone support.  This prevents the appearance of caved-in areas around the lips and above the chin.  Implants are commonly recommended to aid in retention of dentures, especially in the lower arch, as less bone is available to retain the dentures.

What is involved in making dentures?

Impressions are taken at the first appointment. The dental lab returns the denture initially set-up in wax to allow for any alterations that need to be made for speech, bite and esthetics.  Once you are satisfied with the appearance and function of the dentures, it, it is sent back to the laboratory for final completion in acrylic. The result is an amazing smile.
