Intra-oral Cameras

People seldom have a clear idea of the actual status of their dental health. Even with lights and mirrors, a patient can’t see what the dentist can – that is, until now. At Cahaba Dental Arts, we use intraoral cameras, so you can sit back and get ready for the show. The camera-tipped wand, which is no bigger than a pen, shows live video and enlarged, full-color images of your mouth on a TV screen.  Dr. Jayme can show you problem areas and why a treatment is recommended, so you’ll become an informed participant in your dental care.

Digital X-Rays

We are concerned about your health and safety.  For this reason we have invested in digital X-rays.  Digital X-rays have several advantages over traditonal x-ray and film methods, but the most important advantage is the reduced radiation for you.  All the images produced appear on-screen right before you eyes within 3 seconds  -- meaning less waiting time and shorter appointments so you can get you back to your busy schedule.  In addition, you become an active participant in your dental treatment as images of your mouth are enlarged right before your eyes.

Comfort Injections

A lot of people dread visiting the dentist and some people even avoid it altogether until pain forces them to seek treatment.  We understand this and are here to help.  We strive to make your dental experience with us as comfortable and easy as possible.  For this reason we are always learning new techniques to deliver painless injections. At Cahaba Dental Arts we use the Vibraject which stimulates gross touch through slight vibractions.  The body is unable to detect both gross touch and pain simultaneouls, thus your ability to perceive pain is blocked.
