ROOT CANALS

Root canals occur when decay reaches the pulp of the tooth. The nerve then becomes very sensitive and causes a lot of pain. If it becomes infected, an abscess may form. Treatment to remedy the situation is to clean out the root canal and remove the nerve. The canal is irrigated, cleaned and sealed.

AFTER A ROOT CANAL IS IT VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE THE CROWN OR FILLING COMPLETED TO INCREASE THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE TOOTH.
